If you hate thick hoods

I dive Northern California, and have worn this in waters down to 49F. I run very warm and dont tend to really ever feel cold diving, I wear a 7/5 typical wetsuit in those conditions and this hood was a sufficient match. Even for me Im not sure Id wear it if water was maybe 47 or below or it might not be enough, but its good for anything warmer and light enough to use right through temps where many people might opt for no hood. Used to be I hated wearing thick neoprene hoods as I could never hear anyone on the surface. This is SO much thinner and comfortable, I dont notice wearing it almost at all.

Very nice!

I dive all over the world and use a hoodie no matter what. In warm, tropical water, this hood is great! Fits very well. Stretches very well. Wears well and is very comfortable. Easy on, easy off. No problems. Would buy this again!

Better than expected!

Wife and I usually take a Caribbean dive trip every 6 months in warm water. Tried our first Mediterranean dive trip in cold water (67°F) this June and got to try this new hood. I wear a 7.5 hat. This large felt great! Snug without choking and with the felt lining-very comfortable. Facial seal worked wonders and even kept ears "dry" down to 90FT. Wife is buying one and you should too if diving in cooler/cold water!

Great hood for those of us who the hoods

Alright, are you the type of person that hates the idea of wearing a hood like I do? If so, then this is the hood you've been looking for for those times you must wear one. It is very easy to put on (read the size chart) and is very soft and flexible from the get go. None of that awful neoprene compression around your neck and none of the fresh neoprene stiffness that takes ages to break in. I actually don't mind wearing this hood and find it gives me adequate thermal protection to ensure I'm not freezing by the end of my dive. Highly recommend!

Very good quality, trust the size guide!

I was skeptical about ordering the size based on my neck. I have a large head. It was perfect. This hood made a HUGE difference in my diving. No water in my ears either. Highly recommend!
