Great Snorkel, But Submerge Underwater First

I noticed that I had to completely submerge it underwater and blow as if I were clearing the snorkel because the tube was sealed from the top when I first opened it, so I wasn't able to breathe. I'm not so experienced with "dry" snorkels, but this one definitely did a great job. No water entered, and if it would've, I could've just easily cleared it with the purge valve. This is a great snorkel!

It works!

I've always used standard snorkels but decided to give a dry snorkel a try. I'm glad that I did, this one is excellent. Most of my dives were less than 15 feet (5 meters) and it stayed sealed and dry without any water intrusion. I was in saltwater and it rinsed out easily at the end of the day.
10/10 - Would recommend.

Such an improvement over low profile snorkels!

Purchased one of these snorkels for my wife before a trip to Cancun as it would be her first experience in the open ocean I didn't want it to be spoiled by a mouthful of salt water. She loved it and after taking a few mouthfuls of salt water myself using my old faithful low profile snorkel, I also purchased the ultra dry snorkel. Works great after taking it through some paces to get familiar with it. Still feels strange not having to have a solid blast of air ready to clear out the snorkel tube. I am a believer and can't wait to add it to my Scuba kit as well.

It does the job real good

Real good. Water coming it easily gets blown out so I dont inhale sea water.
Only bad thing is If I do an open swim with this on the side it keeps swinging around hitting me. Other than that it works
